The unity of the contents and the transferable perspective of the programs create the interdisciplinary necessity to earn a degree in Cross Media. These studies strive to satisfy the growing demand for multifaceted professionals, capable of developing their skills further and approach the wide range of activities that require use of technical resources and knowledge of the different means of expression and interaction.

BA of Cross Media Studies will adequately prepare graduates to enter the job market as professionals, specialized and technically prepared to work in cross media creation and comprehensive production, with organizational and manageable functions in all kinds of interaction means and media.

During the degree students will also gain the unique experience of living in two different countries, while the first two years take place at ERAM College in Spain, the third is taught by the New Hampton University in UK, where the students acquire their degree.

With small groups of students in each class, new forms of narrative and presentation will be developed, new distribution channels and revenue models will be discussed and new techniques will be taught. Students will combine the theoretical education with practical exercises and projects, within the capacities educational model.

Cross-curricular Outcomes
Cross-curricular competencies that define for all programs at the University of Girona, take the Dublin descriptors as a reference.
The specific competences developed by the ERAM Crossmedia College, with the aim to acquire the general and transversal skills for multimedia and audiovisual, take the formation schemes from those already defined in the Tuning Educational Structures project, developed during the Bologna Process within the entire EU.


First Year
First year is about exploring ideas, develop creative capacities, learn the fundamentals through a range of media and processes provide a solid basis for a global and critical understanding of cultural and social reality and gain design-thinking capacities.

Second Year
Understanding and applying software for design, interactive design, sound and digital video, integrating digital content into interactive applications, learning how certain programs works as well as hardware components and network structures and also learning animation with characters and scenarios are just some of the learning outcomes.
At this level students specialize the tools and techniques for cross media production. The maturity and self-awareness allows students to chose and develop a personal career path.

Third Year
Takes place in the UK University where students can choose their specialty through a Final Project. Putting in practice all the knowledge acquired during the previous years is required to drive and manage a project, with the help of different professors, consultants and professionals, treating it like a real professional experience of their future activity.

Forth Year (Optional)
If students choose to return to ERAM after their graduation and have the opportunity to attend an additional year either in the Spanish ERAM course or in our affiliated University in China or in another University in the EUA and therefor getting a double degree in Multimedia and Audiovisual. This year focuses on a deeper approach on multimedia and audiovisual developing the skills to be able to work in more complex projects.



Methodologies like Problem Solving, Conflict Mediation and Negotiation, Improvement and initiative, or Critique Capabilities and Assertiveness will be implemented in each studio case shaping the Competences Educational Model.

The student will be able to:

-Domain the technical tools to produce cross media and audiovisual contents.

-Read, understand and comment scientific and technical texts.

-Practical experience in workshops, seminars, teaching laboratories.

-Identify and use sources of information and organize complex research.

-Transmit information efficiently with various formats.

-Analyze complex situations and design strategies to solve them, while integrating different methodologies.

-Good technical and professional preparation.

-Use creativity to find appropriate solutions for singular problems.

-Work in a multicultural and interdisciplinary group, teamwork capacities.

-Evaluate one's own activity and learning and developing strategies for improvement.

-Developing the capacity for analysis, synthesis and critical assessment, identifying and explaining the causes and context.

-Analyzing the ethical implications of professional activity.

-Communicate in English using the appropriate terminology.
