This programme is offered by MRU's Business and Media School. Business and Media School (hereinafter BMS) at Faculty of Social Technologies is a new joint school, which offers two diplomas (dual degree) bachelor and master level studies, accredited by Middlesex University in London. Programs are offered in cooperation with Middlesex University in London and are prepared following the United Kingdom quality standards. After successful completion of studies, students will receive two, Mykolas Romeris University and Middlesex University, diplomas.

The aim of this programme is to prepare analytically thinking financial economics specialists, able professionally and systematically apply methods of financial analysis and management in permanently changing global environment, in pursue financial stability, development of economy and effectiveness.

Career prospects
Graduates with a degree in economics can work in the countrys public and private sector financial institutions, banks as well as tax consultants and advisers. Our Graduates currently successfully are working in the different Lithuanian banks, like SEB, Swedbank, DNB, Finasta, Lithuanian Bank; in the Western Union enterprise of financial facilities, companies of audit, like KPMG, DELOITTE; various enterprises, like GIRTEKA, BALTPOOL, Storebrand Baltic UAB.

Purpose of the programme
To prepare analytically thinking financial economics specialists, able professionally and systematically apply methods of financial analysis and management in permanently changing global environment, in pursue financial stability, development of economy and effectiveness.

Orientation of the programme

By studying under this programme, students will acquire suitably theoretical and practical knowledge, will realize specific theoretical and practical problems of financial and non-financial institutions, will foresee methods of its resolution and effectively apply opportunities provided by international financial markets.

Distinctive features

Students of the Programme of the Bachelor's of Financial Economics are trained only in Mykolas Romeris University. Differently from other programmes in Economics students of this Programme are able to develop scientific research skills by enrolling in the special courses which emphasis financial aspects of business creation, management, marketing, etc., as well as public finances role in economy.

Requirements

* Secondary education (grade in mathematics).
* English language proficiency - the level not lower than B2 (following the Common Framework of Reference for Language approved by the Council of Europe). Those having B1 level shall take compulsory intensive English language course during the first semester of their studies (addition fee will apply). Distant English language level test is organized for those, who do not have IELTS or TOEFL certificates.
