About

History

The University has seen many changes since it became an independent institution in 1967. This independence followed a 70 year relationship with the University of St Andrews, but our fundamental aim remains.

Education

Our core activities relate to:

  • Undergraduate courses
  • Taught Postgraduate courses
  • Research degrees

Research

Research at the University of Dundee has been ranked among the very best in the UK in the Research Excellence Framework 2014.

The University is transforming lives locally and globally. This is reflected in high scores for 'Impact' across many of its research areas and can be demonstrated across a wide range of case studies.

We provide a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment in which ideas are generated, communicated and realised, and we are constantly developing new research technologies to support our work as well as that of international researchers. We are always keen to collaborate with and train creative minds from across the world.
