The University of Information Technology and Management was established in 1996. In the last 20 years, it has become well known for being modern and international. Since the beginning, a lot of effort has been put on research and quality of teaching. Advanced technology is one of the tools which helps us reach this goal.
A diverse and attractive teaching and research program, the application of the most advanced information technologies, intensive foreign language courses, all supported by the modern infrastructure make the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow the place where there is a wealth of talent among the faculty and students.
The UITM has great experience in implementing external research grants, including international projects, most of which are funded by various EU programmes, as well as national projects funded by the Polish Government and research institutions, in particular, the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education or the National Science Centre in Poland.
The Careers Service concentrates on helping students and graduates shift from learning to job-searching and establish contacts with employers. It also popularizes the labour market’s policies and practices.Thanks to our Career Office students can get a dream internship, training or find a job.
International Office is responsible for helping incoming and current international students with their studies and stay in Rzeszow. Additionally, in cooperation with the Institute for Study on Civilizations it organizes numerous cultural events, which give students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with other cultures and customs.
The University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów offers assistance to international students during their first days of stay in Rzeszów and helps them to integrate with a new academic environment. At a student’s request, the university may offer help in finding accommodation either in a private flat or in a dormitory, depending on one’s preferences.
The library of UITM has collected around 70,000 books in Polish and foreign languages, about 400 magazine titles, as well as audiovisual and cartographical collections. The profile of our collection is in line with the university’s nature and fields of studies we have in offer.
Thanks to modern technology your studies will be more pleasant for you. Our aim is to be as modern as our students are; most formalities are completed online. To make it even easier, free Wi-Fi is available for our students on all campuses. E-mails, chats, electronic student ID cards is a common thing for our students.
We have three modern campuses. Most classes are held at UITM headquarters in Rzeszow, as well as on campus in Kielnarowa, which is a few kilometres away from Rzeszow. CEM in Kielnarowa is one of the most advanced research centres in Poland where innovative methods of teaching are implemented. It houses more than 80 modern research laboratories.
Our lecturers encourage students to think in a creative and analytical way, so that in the future they can tackle problems of the contemporary world. Customised study programmes along with modern infrastructure are of great help, too.
Our university has its own Academic Sports Association. As a UITM student, you will have a chance to take part in tournaments and regional championships in various kinds of sport, such as football, volleyball, basketball, swimming or skiing. The main aim of our club is to promote sport by organizing and taking part in tourism, recreation and sport events.We often organize sports events which you can take part in: Healthy mind in healthy body – that’s our slogan.
Students’ activity is highly valued by employers nowadays. Getting a university diploma is simply not enough. That is why, we would like to encourage you to involve yourself in scientific interest clubs and students’ organisations. Choose one of the existing clubs which you find interesting and if you cannot find one, open up a new club. Students with initiative are highly valued by UITM.
The University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow was established by the decision of the Minister of National Education on 8th March 1996 and entered into the registered of non-public higher education under number 81. The university is monitored by the State Accreditation Council, which is an independent institution in Poland.
