In 1927, the then named Roomsch Katholieke Handelshoogeschool, with 5 professors and 8 lecturers, opened its doors to 28 Economics students. In 2012 Tilburg University celebrates its 85th anniversary.

TalentSquare has a large housing offer; in total 705 accommodations are divided over four connected buildings. There is a central square with Wi-Fi where you can meet up with your fellow residents. TalentSquare offers 250 fully furnished rooms (approximately 18 square meters) for international graduate or undergraduate students of Tilburg University. You will live in a shared home together with 4 other international students, with whom you will share the fully equipped kitchen. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. You have high speed internet in your room through the fiber network (wired).
A collection with over 800,000 books, journals, illustrations, early works and manuscripts. The combination with a voluminous collection of e-books and e-journals provides a treasure of scholarly information.
A general practitioner can be consulted by appointments which can be made by phone or in person during consultation hours. Approximately ten minutes are allowed per patient. It is possible to ask for a double appointment in advance if you feel that this will be necessary. House calls are kept to a minimum.
Tilburg University has a green, compact campus in beautiful wooded surroundings. Almost all activities are concentrated here. The communication lines between students and employees are short. The campus has a modern library with state-of-the-art study and work space. Across the campus there are cybercafés, e-learning centers, and modern individual and group work space. We are proud of our sustainably renovated Cobbenhagen Building, dating from 1962, a designated municipality monument.
Tilburg University offers a wide range of facilities for sports and recreation. The sports facilities are located very near to the Tilburg University campus and include large sports halls, fitness rooms, squash courts as well as extensive outdoor facilities. If you wish to take part in any sport you can buy a sports pass.You can also participate in competitive sports through one of the many students sports associations. You will then have to pay an extra membership fee to the association of your choice.
Tilburg University is home to a whole range of student associations and societies. They are a great way to meet like-minded students and make friends. There are organizations for arts and culture, sports, student politics and philosophy as well as study-related associations.
