Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oulu UAS) is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Finland with approximately 9,000 students and 800 teachers and other staff members. More than 300 international degree students together with 400 incoming and outgoing exchange students from 30 different countries ensure that Oulu University of Applied Sciences is a vital and international place to study.
Oulu UAS offers multi-field education in Engineering, Business Administration, Social and Health Services, Natural Resources, Music, Dance, Media and Vocational Teacher Education. All fields have courses in English.
Studies at Oulu UAS take place on three campuses all close to city centre and within walking distance of each other. All campuses have their own libraries, cafeterias, restaurants and other facilities students might need during their day of study. All students have access to up-to-date computer equipment and fast wireless connection is available on all three campuses.
Student accommodation in Oulu us available either on the private housing market or in the students halls of residence. Most Finnish and international students live in student housing provided by Student Housing Foundation of Northern Finland (Psoas).
Most of the rooms have a communal kitchenette, a toilet and a shower. The price of accommodation varies depending on the type of the accommodation. The monthly rent for room in a student dormitory is around 150 to 250 €, for one-room flat 240-420 €.
